Professional Experience

Mr. Viets is a Director in the Albuquerque office. He practices in the Litigation Department. Since coming to Rodey in 2001, his practice has focused on representing private- and public-sector employers in federal and state court and before the EEOC and the New Mexico Human Rights Division. Mr. Viets also advises employers on non-litigation matters, reviews employee handbooks, and presents seminars for other lawyers and for clients on discrimination and wage/hour laws. Before coming to Rodey, Mr. Viets was a law clerk to the Honorable James A. Parker. At the time, Judge Parker was the Chief District Judge for the District of New Mexico.
