Professional Experience
Mr. Gilbert is a Director in the Santa Fe office.
He is a member of the Litigation Department, and
focuses his practice on representing healthcare providers,
product manufacturers and utility
companies in personal injury and complex commercial
litigation. He has tried numerous cases to judges
and juries in New Mexico state and federal courts.
Mr. Gilbert has lectured on a variety of topics,
including medical record privacy, toxic tort litigation,
and professionalism. He is the co-editor of the New
Mexico chapter of Aspen Publishing Company’s
Tort Law Desk Reference: A Fifty
State Compendium and the co-author of Unfair
Trade Practices: A Compendium of State Law, DRI Defense Library Series (2005). Mr. Gilbert serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for St. Michael’s High School, a college preparatory school serving the Santa Fe community since 1859. He was also elected Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the First Judicial Bar Association. Outside the office, Mr. Gilbert relishes spending time with his wife and their two children. Other interests include downhill skiing, basketball and playing guitar.
