Professional Experience
Mr. Arland practices in the areas of lender liability
defense, business litigation, mediation and bankruptcy
proceedings. He represents clients in complex litigation,
particularly document and data intensive cases, bankruptcies,
corporate law matters, real estate transactions and
commercial transactions. He frequently represents
financial institutions in these matters, particularly
in defense of lender liability claims and Chapter
11 bankruptcy cases.
Mr. Arland has taught as an Adjunct Professor of
Business, Robert O. Anderson School of Management,
University of New Mexico, and an Adjunct Professor
of Law, Paralegal Program, University of Albuquerque,
as well as participating and conducting numerous seminars
as a speaker and panel member.
He has argued before the United States Supreme Court,
Barnhill v. Johnson, 503 U.S. 393 (1992). Mr. Arland is listed in Best Lawyers in America for his expertise in Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law. Mr. Arland has achieved the highest Martindale-Hubbell rating.
