Mr. Chouinard is an associate in the Albuquerque office. He practices in the Business Department with the Real Estate group. Prior to joining the firm he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Megan P. Duffy of the New Mexico Court of Appeals.
While attending the University of New Mexico School of Law, Mr. Chouinard served as a Legal Writing and Criminal Law Tutor and received the Helen S. Carter Prize for Outstanding Student Papers. He was a Source & Citation Editor, New Mexico Law Review, vol. 51, the President of the UNM School of Law ACLU Chapter (2019-2020), and participated in the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition (2021). He also served as a staff intern on the New Mexico Civil Rights Commission and later assisted in the passage of the New Mexico Civil Rights Act. Before law school, Mr. Chouinard worked as a paramedic in a variety of emergency response and clinical settings.
