Rick Beitler

Mr. Beitler is an attorney who practices in the Albuquerque office of Rodey, Dickason, Sloan, Akin & Robb, P.A.   His professional experience spanning 43 years has been devoted primarily to tort litigation with a heavy emphasis on medical malpractice defense.  He has tried cases in both state and federal courts throughout New Mexico and has extensive experience representing physicians and other healthcare providers before the New Mexico Medical Review Commission.   Mr. Beitler has also represented physicians and nurses before the Medical and Nursing Boards, and has extensive experience as a mediator in medical malpractice matters and general tort litigation.  

Mr. Beitler’s clients have included hospitals, physicians, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities and a wide variety of other healthcare professionals.  He has served as Chair of the State Bar’s Trial Practice Section and Health Law Section and Co-Chair of the State Bar’s Insurance Committee.   Mr. Beitler has also served as a panel member for the New Mexico Medical Review Commission and previously served on the State Bar’s Medical-Legal Liaison Committee.
