Jack Brant serves as Of Counsel in the Albuquerque office and is a member of the firm’s Professional Liability Practice Group. With more than 40 years of experience, he is a well-respected figure in New Mexico’s legal community and a trusted advisor in complex civil litigation.
Mr. Brant began his legal career as a law clerk to Chief Judge Howard C. Bratton of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, followed by two years as an associate in Washington, D.C., where he focused on products liability and insurance defense.
His practice concentrates on the defense of lawyers and accountants in professional malpractice litigation, representation of lawyers in disciplinary matters, and advising on legal malpractice insurance, risk management, legal ethics and law practice issues. He also has broad experience in civil litigation across a wide range of areas including insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. In addition to his legal work, Mr. Brant has held leadership roles within the legal profession, including serving as Chair of the State Bar Lawyers Professional Liability and Insurance Committee and participating as a member of the New Mexico Supreme Court Rules of Civil Procedure Committee.
Mr. Brant brings deep insight and practical experience to his work, providing clients with effective counsel in high-stakes professional liability and litigation matters.
