Legal Assistant – Albuquerque, NM
The Rodey Law Firm is accepting resumes for a full-time Legal Assistant position for its Albuquerque office.
Position requires a minimum of three years litigation experience working in a large size law firm. Applicants must have experience providing legal and litigation support, and excellent organizational skills. Must have a solid working knowledge of general office procedures, experience handling client billing, conflict checking and file opening. Responsible for calendaring deadlines. Must demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, flexibility, attention to detail, with ability to assess priorities. Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word required. Working knowledge of a document management system a plus.
Qualifications:
Experience/Education: Must have a High School diploma or GED certificate; some business school or college desirable.
Specialized or Technical Knowledge and Skills: Applicants must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment ability to work amicably with coworkers, ability to communicate orally and in written English, perform essential duties with time constraints and interruptions, ability to maintain client confidentiality, good organizational and interpersonal communication skills, needs to be a self-starter, and ability to work overtime if necessary.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate in person, by e-mail and telephone and follow instruction effectively from a diverse group of attorneys, clients and staff and to provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
