Practice Areas
Noell Huffmyer is an Associate in the Litigation Department. She is experienced in all aspects of litigation, from pre-litigation claim investigation through post-trial motions. Noell represents corporate and individual clients in both state and federal court as well as in administrative and alternative dispute resolution forums. Her experience includes service as a judicial law clerk to William P. Johnson, Chief United States District Judge for the District of New Mexico.
During law school, Noell completed internships for Judge Miles Hanisee at the New Mexico Court of Appeals and for the United States Attorney’s Office and was a member of UNM’s National Mock Trial Team. She also served as a teaching assistant to the legal writing faculty and as a research assistant on multiple amicus curiae briefs advocating on behalf of the intellectually and developmentally disabled.
Noell received numerous awards throughout her time in law school including the UNM School of Law Alumni/ae Association’s academic merit scholarship and the Roehl Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy. Upon graduation, Noell was invited to join the Order of the Coif, granted summa cum laude honors, and awarded the Faculty Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Law School Community. More recently, Noell has been recognized for her professional excellence in Best Lawyers: One to Watch.
Noell currently sits on the boards of the Albuquerque Bar Association and the Recent Graduate Chapter of the UNM School of Law Alumni/ae Association. She is also a member of Rodey’s Recruiting Committee, where she serves as Co-Chair of Rodey’s Summer Associate Program.
