Noell Huffmyer is an Associate in the Litigation Department where she practices with the Professional Liability Group. Ms. Huffmyer joined the Rodey firm after graduating law school, but took a one-year leave of absence to complete a term clerkship with William P. Johnson, Chief United States District Judge for the District of New Mexico. Ms. Huffmyer is experienced in all aspects of litigation and in representing corporate and individual clients in administrative proceedings and arbitrations.
While attending the University of New Mexico School of Law, Ms. Huffmyer interned for Judge Miles Hanisee at the New Mexico Court of Appeals and for the United States Attorney’s Office. She was also a member of UNM’s National Mock Trial Team. Additionally, Ms. Huffmyer worked as a teaching assistant to the legal writing faculty and as a research assistant on multiple amicus curiae briefs advocating on behalf of the intellectually and developmentally disabled.
Ms. Huffmyer received numerous awards throughout her time in law school including the UNM School of Law Alumni Association’s academic merit scholarship and the Roehl Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy. She was also admitted to the Order of the Coif, an honor society for law school graduates whose membership is limited to individuals who graduate in the top 10% of their class. Upon graduation, Ms. Huffmyer was granted summa cum laude honors and was awarded the UNM School of Law’s Faculty Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Law School Community.
Ms. Huffmyer currently sits on the boards of the Albuquerque Bar Association and the Recent Graduate Chapter of the UNM School of Law Alumni/ae Association. She is also a member of Rodey’s Recruiting Committee.
